Riverdi's IoT displays are LCD touchscreen display modules with pre-installed Zerynth license that are programmable via Python. The 5 inch TFT screens have an integrated ESP32 microcontroller, which was developed for IoT applications with low power consumption and portable electronics, so that a connection via WiFi® and Bluetooth® to the cloud is possible without an external controller. The resolution is 800 x 480. The display is controlled via the Bridgetek BT81x graphics controller. A graphical user interface can thus be implemented in a relatively short time thanks to the associated Zerynth library. The display is available in the variants Resistive, Capacitive and uxTouch and can be expanded using two MicroBUS slots and two Grove connections. The operating temperature range is from -20 ° C to + 70 ° C.
The touch screens are suitable as human-machine interfaces (HMI) or for IoT control. Typical applications are in medical devices, in checkout systems and vending machines as well as in charging stations or elevator cabins. The displays are also used in remote controls with video functionality or in laboratory devices.
