TRS Star basically distinguishes between analogue resistive touches and projected capacitive touches. Analogue resistive touches are still a valued component in applications being operated in difficult EMC ambient or simply for price reasons and because of their convenience while being implemented.
Though, nowadays capacitive touches (PCAP) are dominating due to their optical Performance, but also because they are resistive against alcohol and other aggressive detergents. Furthermore, compared to resistive touches, PCAPs offer a stronger surface hardness as a protection against scratches.
We at TRS Star access in our scope of products in terms of Touch screen displays to complete solutions provided by our display suppliers, but also to solutions provided by our partners specialized in touch technologies Mildex and Touchnetix – always in our focus the best matching solution for the customer’s application.
