The idea of combating pathogens with UV light is not new, but it is currently more relevant than ever. If microorganisms such as germs and viruses are exposed to a UV lamp with a wavelength between 200 and 300 nm, the rays cause DNA damage and viruses and bacteria die - a reliable and environmentally friendly method without the addition of chemicals.

For these applications, a multifunctional UV disinfection box is available from TRS-STAR GmbH in Stutensee, which with this method destroys or removes 99.9% of all germs and viruses in a short time.

Due to its size, the box is suitable for use at home, in the office and when traveling and sterilizes, for example, cell phones, masks, keys, jewelry, watches, headphones, glasses and cosmetic aids. It works with side-mounted UV lamps and has an aromatherapy function to give the items to be disinfected a freely selectable fragrance. The box is made of durable, high-quality ABS plastic and has the dimensions 21.8 x 12.2 x 5.3 cm (L x W x H). The device can be charged or operated at any commercially available USB socket and has a maximum power consumption of 9W.
